Omega 8007 Juicer Review — Where Versatility Meets User-Friendliness

Not too long-ago juicing was seen as a “fad” or a “trend.” But with people becoming more proactive in their health and more mindful of their eating habits, it’s clear that juicing is beneficial and becoming the norm. And now, with people becoming more aware of what ingredients are in their foods and beverages, a juicer is a great way to start to take charge of what you and your family are consuming.

The Omega 8007 Juicer

This juicer is a heavy-duty masticating juicer that is sturdy, durable, and versatile; note — it is NOT just for juicing!

It can produce a large amount of juices and foods such as nut butters, nut milks, wheatgrass juice, and even baby foods while still keeping their nutritional value. I absolutely love the fact that not only can mom and dad make a batch of juice ahead of time for themselves, but that they can also make healthy, organic food for their little ones as well!

The cost of alternative containers of milks, butters, and baby food alone can really put a dent in your wallet. When you use the Omega 8007 Juicer to make these items on your own, it not only becomes more cost-effective but also becomes healthier because you are the one in control of the ingredients! It’s truly a win-win situation!

The Omega Brand

Omega was founded in 1985 by Robert Leo, who spent 20 years working for a juicing company where he spent his time creating products that were based on what customers really wanted. In 1987 the company name was changed to Omega.

Since they started, Omega has introduced juicers ranging from Centrifuge to low-speed vertical juicers that slow down the oxidization process and allow you to keep your juice stored for up to 72 hours! However, one of the highlights of the Omega brand was their VRT350 Juicer being featured on the Dr. Oz show as his “go-to” juicer and being mentioned in Men’s Journal as the Best-In-Class juicer.

Omega has distribution in over 120 countries and continues to be the industry standard. Their headquarters are based in the USA, and they pride themselves on raising awareness about health and wellness. With a company that has been around for over 35 years, you can rest assured that you’re going to get high-quality products that are going to last.

Let’s Talk Specs…

The Omega 8007 Juicer is a mid-range model that is great whether you’re just starting out or you’ve been looking to upgrade from a lower-end juicer.

Here’s what you can expect:

PROS

  • BPA-free
  • Omega’s signature dual-stage steel juicing screens
  • It runs quietly at 80 RPMs and uses a slow juicing method to produce higher-quality juice. Slower speeds also equal less heat output-a higher heat output equals oxidization which has been shown to affect the vitamins, minerals, and enzymes of foods and juices.
  • VERSATILITY. This isn’t a one-trick pony! We’re talking veggie juicer, wheatgrass juicer, fruit juicer, nut butters, nut and oat milks, pasta extruder, mincer, and chopper; so much value in one product!
  • It comes with six nozzles which means a variety of pasta shapes
  • It can take on leafy greens AND tougher fruits and veggies, which lower end juicers struggle with
  • Automatic pulp ejector, which means continuous juicing with no need to stop!
  • It’s easy to set up, easy to clean, easy to use. Have I mentioned how much I love EASY products?! I certainly don’t want to feel like I need a degree in engineering to operate my juicer!
  • Lightweight but sturdy at 15 lbs. with four rubber feet for gripping
  • You can easily search the website for replacement parts and contact their USA-based customer service if you have any issues.

Sounds fantastic so far! What about the drawbacks?

Ah, yes, although the Omega 8007 has some beautiful features, this wouldn’t be a proper review unless we talked about some of the not-so-great details.

Luckily, the good outweighs the bad, but these negative points are still worth discussing:

CONS

  • Some users have reported the end cap doesn’t fit as well as it should
  • Because of its horizontal design, it’s not what you would consider “space-saving.”
  • Fruits and veggies need to be chopped up small for the best results
  • While it’s great for juicing the tougher fruits and vegetables that other juicers struggle with, users have said that it does not perform as well with softer produce

Final Thoughts

When it comes to juicers, you want to make sure you’re purchasing a high-quality machine that is not only easy to use but that’s going to last and produce consistently nutritional and delicious results.

The Omega 8007 meets all those requirements. This juicer is great whether you’re a newbie or you’ve been at this for a while. The ease of use and clean-up are some of the primary key points. However, my favorite thing about this juicer is its remarkable versatility. I love the fact that you can create delicious juices and nut butters, alternative milks, and baby foods. This means you can feel good not only about what you’re consuming but also about not dealing with the nasties and preservatives when it comes to baby food as well.

The Omega company certainly isn’t new to the industry, and their 15-year warranty, which is the longest we have encountered so far — proves just that. It includes a 5-year parts and a 10-year motor warranty. Their website is easy to use and search, and their USA-based customer service makes it a point to respond to customer issues and inquiries quickly.

Overall, I would definitely recommend the Omega 8007 Juicer. I like that it’s a mid-range model that is user-friendly enough for those just beginning their journey. The benefit of this is that once you become comfortable using it and want to venture into other territories like butters and milks, you don’t need to upgrade or change anything. This is literally a juicer that was designed to grow with you and your skills. The price compared to the actual value of what you’re getting with this machine is more than enough to convince me that this juicer would be the perfect addition to anyone’s journey to better health and wellness.

* Please note that the newer model to the Omega 8007 is the Omega J8006HDS
