The moment I heard Vitamix 6500 vs Vitamix 7500, without knowing the difference between these two blenders, I immediately concluded that the 7500 would undoubtedly be the better of the two. Why? Because it sounded like a more upgraded version to the 6500. But when I checked deeper, I realized that conclusion was not altogether correct. Here is what I found out.

What Is a Vitamix Blender?

A Vitamix blender is a very powerful blender operating at extremely high speed. It comes with a motor of between 2 to 2.2-horsepower, which is equivalent to approximately 1,400 – 1470 watts of power. Thus giving it the capability to blend just about anything you put in that most traditional blenders cannot. It is built to blend without putting any strain or pressure on the motor or causing it to burn out. These blenders are sturdy and can hold large quantities of your favorite foods for blending in one go. They are equipped to make your hot soups, acai bowls, nut milk, creams, shakes, ice creams, heavy cake batter, bread and pizza dough, sauces, and smoothies — whatever your heart desires, your Vitamix will do!

Why Vitamix Blenders

The Vitamix brand has been on the market for over 83 years and is a brand of Vitamix Corporation based in Cleveland Ohio, USA. Vitamix is produced for both residential and commercial purposes with companies like Starbucks and Baskin Robins being among those who have been using the Vitamix brand for years.

The family-owned corporation certainly believes in reliability, sturdiness, and safety as their blenders are among the high-end on the market with just these qualities as part of their claim.

The Vitamix can be used many times during the same day since the motor is built to withstand pressure. You also do not need to pause between blends as with many blenders on the market. The Vitamix is one of the most homely, yet industrial top-of-the-line multipurpose blenders on the market. They are great for in-home activities but have been found in many fast food stores worldwide.

The blender is built to maintain a cool temperature at all times so it does not overheat even when hard whole foods are put in, and no matter how many times of the day it is used. The expertly designed and very precise stainless steel blades allow the blenders to get the job done professionally. Vitamix is great at turning nuts into creamy nut butter without having to add oil, pulse its way through hard ingredients, and turning cold and raw ingredients into hot soups just from the temperature generated by the motor.

The Vitamix 6500 is a model that combines features from other Vitamix models to end up with the peak performance it is today. It offers all the performance of its former popular model the 5300 but with hands-free blending programs added to it. It is a combination of the C series and the G series Vitamixes.

Performance

Because of the high power motor, the Vitamix 6500 is of high performance and can do what the regular household blender cannot do in terms of its ability to hold up against hard produce without shutting off after heating up. It is able to grind and blend dry and hot blends.

How does the Vitamix 6500 perform at:

Smoothie:

Making smoothies is effortless and quick even against hard whole fruits and vegetables. The design of the blades is such that it will make short work of anything hard or soft that you put in. Set the knob on ‘smoothies’ and watch your fruits and veggies convert into an even consistency in seconds.

Juices:

Persons often ask if their blender can make juices. That will depend on what you want from that juice. Blenders will not separate the pulp, skin, and seed. Therefore, you will not get that thin juice texture as you would from an extractor or a juicer. If you are good with getting a thick juice with all parts of the fruits and vegetables included then you can make this with your blender.

Dough:

The blender may not have a setting for the dough but it can make the heavy cake batter, bread, and pizza dough quite well. Thus making it much easier to do your baking without the need for a mixer.

Frozen ingredients/desserts:

The Vitamix has an ice-crushing function that will give you a nicely textured frozen drink of any sort. Simply turn your knob to the pre-program ‘frozen dessert’, put in your ingredient and your ice, and watch it work. If you want fruity ice cream you can make that right in your blender with just a turn of the button! The size of the jar can give you up to 3 servings of dessert.

Pureeing:

The Vitamix 6500 is also quite good at preparing your sauces, dips, salsas, and baby food. Chose the correct cycle and your mix will be pureed as desired. Note that the more cycles you do the smoother your puree will be. If you are into nut butter this is a wonderful tool to get the job done.

Hot soups:

This blender is designed with the pre-program feature for ‘hot soups. Thus you are able to have your hot soup out before you know it. As the blades turn, your soup is heated from the friction caused. Thus you can have thick warm soup complete with your pre-cooked meat should you decide to add that to your soup blend.

Food Prep:

This multi-purpose blender will chop your fruits and veggies for your salads, salsa and coleslaw, and whatever food you want to prepare. Your food will come out chopped as if done by a master chef wielding a sharp knife!

Grinding Coffee Beans:

The Vitamix 6500 will grind your coffee beans in smooth powder for your tasty cup of coffee. It will grind any dry grains and nuts you desire. The coarseness or fineness of your beans or grains will be dependent on the speed and level you choose to grind at. Your manual will guide you on this.

The 64-ounce blending jar is short and stout thus making it easy to store when compared to other tall slimmer jars.

Features
